Brown wool sweater 31 for Ken

This wool sweater is entirely hand-sewed. I recycled a sleeve of a sweater and cut on the bottom to get the elasticated part. Dimensions on the tutorial are taken on the non elasticated part.
I sewed an assorted shirt, you can find it here.
Happy sewing!

Jeans for Ken

Blue jeans ken

This the second pants I’m sewing for Ken. It is all sewed by hand. I enjoy sewing for Ken. I think the next outfit will be a less casual outfit, like a tuxedo. For this specific pants, I advise you check the length of the legs because I know all Ken dolls are different.

Long sleeves white and blue shirt for Ken

I had this idea when I sewed the Halloween t-shirt for Barbie. (you can find the tutorial here)
You might want to double check the length of Ken’s arms. I have two Ken dolls and for one the shirt is perfect and for the other it’s like a ¾ sleeves shirt… not very masculine!
Talking about that, am I wrong or Ken has enlarged shoulders (compared to my – great old – time)?
The tutorial for the pants shown on the picture is here.

Blue pants for Ken

It’s been a while I did not sew for handsome Ken. There are two reasons: First it is very challenging to sew of this doll because it is not as flexible as Barbies are, it’s hard to try clothes on, hard to take measurements and hard to dress him up. The second reason is that there is less choice in the kind of clothe to sew for Ken.
And above all this, I just found out that dimensions are different from one Ken to another.
This pants is made of thick dark blue fabric (like blue jeans). The side pocket gives it a modern style. I was very glad of the result when I was done sewing it.
You can find the white and blue shirt  here.

Blue Jeans Jacket for Ken

Do not throw away your used jeans anymore ! You can use them to sew tons of outfits for your dolls : pants, shorts, sweaters, skirts, dresses…

This jacket for Ken is very easy to sew. I used a pièce of fabric a little bit more used to sew the collar. I needed a différence in fabirc colors.

You can add pockets to the jacket.

Sewing this jacket will be easier if you have a light stretcheable blue jeans fabric.
Happy sewing !

Sweater for Ken

How to recycle used socks?
Sew a great sweater for your doll’s lover!
I found it very fun to sew for Ken. But it’s somewhat a little bit more challenging because Ken’s arms and legs are not as mobile as Barbies. The good new is that as there are less curbs, it’s easier to sew outfits for Ken.  Try it on. Let me know what your think!
I am already thinking of sewing a pants and some sportswear for Ken. Maybe in the nexts posts.

T-Shirt for Ken

My daughter lost the unique t-shirt she had for Ken. That was the first time I sewed something for him. It was not as trendy as this t-shirt.
How come that outfits for Ken are not as practical as outfits for Barbie? They don’t close in the back, so it’s really hard to dress and undress them. Maybe they think that little girls do not pay attention to what Ken is wearing. I can tell you that once you provide them with more outfits, they’ll start changing their clothes the same way they do for Barbie.
This t-shirt is easy to sew. Add it a little “boy” decoration such as a letter. By the way, B is for: Boy, Barbie or… Miss B ;)

Happy sewing!
As always, I’d love to read your comments. Any suggestion on what could be an accessory for boys?
