Scarf and hat for Barbie

The scarf needs no sewing. It is pretty on Barbie. The hat will take you a few minutes to sew. If you add a decoration on the front, you will have a very elegant hat for your doll. Barbie is ready for winter.
The scarf and hat are part of a complete outfit including a coat, a pants, a turtleneck and a messenger’s bag.
Happy sewing!

Scarf:
-    cut a band of felt fabric 8” x 1” (20cm x 2.5cm)
-    Cut the extremities to make the lanyards of the scarf
-    Your scarf is ready!

Grey  felt hat

Material: Use felt fabric
-    Cut one small round 1 ½” (4cm) diameter
-    One band 6” x ¾” (15cm x 2cm)
-    Decoration

How to make the hat:
-    Sew the band around the small round. Do not close it. Return it.
-    Try it on the doll’s head and pin where it has to be closed
-    Close the hat. Cut the extra fabric
-    Add the decoration (I cut a flower on the felt fabric and sew around it with a light color thread)

Don’t forget to look at the complete outfit!

Are you going to upload the steps for the headband and purse to go with the flounced dress?

There is no real difficulty here. So I did not take pictures for the steps. For the hair band you can use the same steps as the wedding veil. And for the bag, just look at one of the bags on accessories. I hope it helps :)

I would like to thank you so much for putting such simple instructions! I have done doll dresses before but I had done them really badly. I learned a lot from this blog and so I decided to try this almost forgotten hobby to make doll dresses for my sister and my nieces (I have yet to have my own daughter and by then I plan to have a sewing machine.)

I hope you don’t mind if I link your instructions since I would rather others use them as I have since my instructions would be either a plagarized version of yours and would include “just wing it” in the list. ^_^

But be rest assured I would always link it back to you I ever do user your instructions. ^_^
