Buterfly nightgown

Do not throw away your little girl light tights anymore. There are plenty of cool outfits you can sew for your doll.
The idea of the nightgown came when I saw that women’s nightgown can be made of this kind of fabric. And this must be very comfy… isn’t it?
This is a very easy nightgown to make, there is almost no sewing. There is no hem to sew. It takes 10 minutes to cut and sew and your doll will be ready to go to bed with a chic nightgown.
Another thing I like with the fabric is that it’s solid. My daughter plays a lot with the first I sewed and it’s still in good shape.
The flower gives it a little a girly touch. You can replace it with any other decoration you like.
As always, I’d love your comments and suggestions!

Happy sewing!
Material:
- Cut a 5″ (13cm) long piece of fabric in the leg of the kid tights
- Another little piece of tights (you can use another color) for the decoration flower – 1″ large (2cm)
- Ribbon: 15″ (38cm)

Phase 1:
- Sew the ribbon all arround the bottom of the nightgown.
-Make a pleat on the back of the dress 1″long  (2cm) and sew the pleat to tha back to adjust the nightgown on the top.
- Put the dress reverse on the doll and pin the sleeves. Then sew the sleeves.

Phase 2:
- Sew the flower. Sew a line on the back of the little rectangle fabric and the gather the fabric.
- Sew the flower to the dress on one of the sleeves. Arrange it a little to give it the look of a flower.

The nightgown is ready. I made another one with a purple kid tights.
