Panty and bra

A little bra and panty very cute. The challenging part was to sew the elastic. You can sew the panty shorter or longer. The bra is very easy to sew.
Happy sewing!

Material:
-       2 rectangles 4” x 2” ( 10cm x 5cm)
-       elastic
-       Lace

Step 1:
-       Put the 2 rectangles together, pleat them and cut a curve. See picture.
-       Leave ½” on the bottom (1.3cm)

Step 2:
-       Sew a hem on the bottom
-       Sew the rectangles together on one side, do not sew till the bottom
-       Sew a big hem on the top, so the elastic can fit in it

Step 3:
-       Put the elastic in the hem
-       Then sew the other leg and in the middle
-       Try the panty on the doll, adjust the elastic. Make a knot and sew
-       Sew on the back
-       Sew the lace

Bra

Material:
-       1 rectangle 6” x 2” (15cm x 5cm)
-       lace

Step 1:
-       Pleat the rectangle, sew it and return it
-       Then sew a hem on each side

Step 2:
-       Sew the lace on the bottom
-       Sew a sew on snap on the back
-       Gather the fabric on the front, on the middle of the breast

    Hi Miss B

Here is my beach outfit for Barbie, using the bra and panties patterns for the bikini and the dressing gown for the beach robe. Hope you like them. Also have a look at the pink circle dress and cape. I used bits of different patterns for these – I used a large plate for the skirt pattern but it was not easy to attach it to the top. I used felt for the top so that I did not need to do hems. The cape was a semi circle of fur fabric and the lining is white satin – very slipperry and difficult to sew. I sewed all round the edge apart from the neck and turned it inside out and then used a rectangle for the hood.

I have been buying remnants of material at our local fabric shop so have a few more dresses to make.

I just love your patterns – so easy to use.
    Best wishes

What a great site! My little grandaughter loves her Barbie “Princesses” and I thought I’d make some for her but finding patterns is rather difficult until I found your site when I googled Dolls clothes. Thank you for the great site.
