Material :
- 1 rectangle of kids tight fabric 8” x 2 ½ “ ( 20cm x 7cm)
- Small decoration
Phase 1:
- Pleat the rectangle into 2
- Draw a mark at 2” (5cm) from the top on each side of the fabric
- From this mark draw a ¾ ” line (1.5cm)
- Then trace a curved line from the top of the fabric to the bottom, the line will touch the end of the ¾ “ line
- Then sew the fabric following the curved line
Phase 2 :
- Cut a little the extra fabric and cut the rest on the other side, from time to time. So the fabric won’t be rigid
- Now you can reverse gently the fabric. Be patient.
- Sew a hem on the side where the fabric is not closed.
Phase 3:
- Sew the two sides together
- Add a little decoration on the front. I just sewed a little star with pink thread.
The panty is ready! Go see the assorted bra in the lingerie section!

hey why dont you use this as a basis and make a swimming coustume with a towel and maybe make a beach ball i not sure how you can make the beach ball but i have noticed your are always solving creative problems and making them work and look great
Hmmmm ♥ thanks for the sharing! i wanna make a bikini and have made a Beach Jacket, but dont know to make a panties! maybe this pattern will usefull ♥ thanks miss B ~
Good job Chris! I love what you did!
I have tried to make the panties and they where too small to slip on barbie’s legs. So, I putt a snap on one of the sides to make it fit. Other then that, great patterns!!! The girl I babysitt loves all the clothes I make for her barbies
Thank you Elyse for your comment. The other way to make it fit would be either to use stretchy fabric or put an elastic on the waist. But it is not easy to do at a Barbie size. The sew on snap on the side or on the back is the best way to do it!
Happy sewing!
Miss B.
