I hope you’ll have great time with your grandauther sewing together. I remember knitting and doing crochet with my grandmother when I was a little girl. It’s precious.

Helo Ms. B !! i love your leggings!! maybe i should try one to my barbie

    • missbcouture says:

Hello Chris! This is very easy to sew! You should try!

I guess it should be okay if you use very gentle velcro. The problemwith velcro is that it’s not good for the fabric, they tend to fray.
Sew on snap are not perfect either, if outfits are for very young kids, I guess velcro will be better.

    Dear Miss B
Beautiful garments and neat instructions to carry out at home! Therefore thank you for sharing them.
When I was small, my Mom sewed tiny dresses for my sister’s and my Barbie, as you said, the dolls and their clothes were very expensive and so each Christmas or on our birthdays we had a surprise dress, tiny, made with love and at times marvellous details such as embroidered flowers, etc.
A few of these dresses are still with us, kept like treasures.
Earlier this year I was recovering from a foot surgery and had to rest for almost 3 weeks and it was the opportunity to take Mom’s sewing lessons a step further and dress my Barbie with some new dresses, displayed in my photos here: http://www.fotocommunity.com/pc/pc/pcat/628781.
I have even made shoes for a few dolls (Barbie style, but much less expensive) I bought for the purpose of clothing them. I did this with a two component paste you usually use for repair matters of plastic or wood.
With all your ideas I am sure going to sew more and different dresses!
    Thanks for the inspiration.
    Best regards,
    Susana

I’d love to know how you are making shoes. I made some sleepers once. I’ll post the pattern one day if I make them again. But I haven’t tried shoes or boots.
Please continue to share your pictures, it is a real pleasure to see them.
